Lucy Best

Engaging with the community in a meaningful and genuine way is central to Lucy Best’s work. She focuses on shared values and goals to connect people and achieve positive outcomes. Lucy holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors, and has completed advanced courses in community-based social marketing, climate change, and changeology.

With over twenty-five years of experience in community engagement and project management, Lucy has worked across various sectors, including local government, national not-for-profits, and the arts and education, as well as being a writer, producer and performer.

As an experienced project manager, Lucy develops and implements engagement strategies for sustainability and social justice initiatives.

Notable Projects:

  • Coordinating and delivering Roving Repair Programs for Bayside City Council, City of Stonnington, and Glen Eira City Council
  • Working with CBRE Property Management to help businesses in Melbourne’s Madame Brussels Lane identify opportunities to increase circularity
  • Coordinating energy and comfort upgrades for Aboriginal Housing Victoria (AHVic)
  • Managing communications and marketing for the Moreland Energy and Australian Energy Foundations across a broad range of programs and projects, including collaboration with schools and local and state governments
  • Serving on Merri-Bek City Council’s waste and litter strategy community consultation committee
