Monet’s idea began in an op shop after hearing how ties can pile up on shelves, rarely bought. Research into textile waste led to a commitment to hunting for secondhand materials rather than buying new. The ties were patiently unpicked and pieced together, making the slow process of sewing and creating as important as the finished garment.
