Hiva Khoshalmanshadi

Hiva explores nostalgia, metamorphosis and our attachment to materials through interwoven crochet. Secondhand shirts are cut into fine filaments, colour-coordinated into makeshift yarn and then crocheted into a completely new garment. It asks a deceptively simple question: how aware are we of the fibres in our clothes before we buy them?
