A trailblazer in the field of Zero-Waste living, combining Permaculture Principles with modern strategies to transform properties into eco-friendly havens. With a focus on sustainable practices and waste management, Anna is dedicated to helping individuals minimize their environmental impact through practical and innovative solutions.
‘Nanna’ Anna is a former primary teacher with a horticultural background, and founder of The Urban Nanna. Through TV, radio, articles, workshops, and social media avenues, she shares traditional knowledge, methods and skills with people around the world much like elders used to do with their children and grandchildren.
As well as reviving traditional ways of cooking, preserving, foraging and crafting, she focuses heavily on permaculture and living a more sustainable lifestyle by gardening and adopting zero-waste principles in everyday life.
Firmly steeped in the ethos of Permaculture, The Urban Nanna showcases how it’s possible to be a low-waste warrior even while living in the unpredictable rental market of suburban Australia.
