Elly Hanhrahan

Elly Hanrahan holds a Bachelor of Advanced Environmental Science (Honours) in Global Challenges from Monash University.

As the CEO of Global Voices, Elly leads initiatives to elevate the voices of young people in domestic and international decision-making spaces. She works to empower youth and galvanise action on environmental and social justice fronts.

Elly has served as a seasonal bushfire fighter, including during the 2019-20 Black Summer, co-founded AusRegen, a not-for-profit rehydrating degraded landscapes, supervised landscape restoration research projects, built community resilience projects as a community facilitator, and worked as an Advisor to the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.

Elly is also a voluntary director on the board of the Healesville Community Bank, where she actively supports grassroots initiatives and local resilience-building efforts within her community.
